Ledbury Poetry Festival is delighted to be presenting another season of the poetry Café with The Courtyard. If you are interested in reading and writing Poetry please join us on the first Thursday of the month for our "First Thursday Poetry Cafe".  Building on last year's successful series, these workshops, led once again by poet Paul Henry, will continue to offer participants the chance to broaden their reading of poetry, whilst also developing writing skills in this genre. An informal, supportive environment will welcome both new and experienced poets.

Paul Henry was born in Aberystwyth in 1959.
Since winning a Gregory Award in 1989, four collections of his poetry have appeared: Time Pieces, Captive Audience, The Milk Thief and The Slipped Leash. His work has been widely anthologised in journals as diverse as the Times Literary Supplement and Poetry Wales.

Paul runs creative writing courses at the Welsh writers’ centre, Ty Newdd, and has worked with a number of writers’ groups. Originally a singer-songwriter, he has read and performed at festivals across the UK and Europe.
